Who We Are

Lake Effect Dogs, LLC is a family-oriented small business owned and operated in the Great Lakes Region of the United States. We are dedicated to helping our four-legged friends live their best possible lives. We believe that our skill sets allow us to share our love of dogs through science and technology.

With our experience in training, rescue, sports, and more, we are committed to providing useful but enjoyable apps that help humans with their dogs, programs, and goals. We know we have a little something to offer to the majority of dog enthusiasts, from those who simply love their canine companions, to those who focus on four-legged athletes, or passions which align with rescuing, breeding, and anything in between.

Why We're Here

At home base, we live with Northern mixes. Our original goal was to have fun with versatile adventure dogs, able to accompany us on every outing from kayaking to backpacking, skiing, or even recreational mushing. But the best-laid plans, as they say... we had to sidetrack a little bit due to one of our boys. His needs pushed us to learn much more about training methods as well as the broader ecosystem of dog personalities, temperaments, genetics, and medical conditions.

Our hope is that our journey can help other pet parents everywhere. If you're struggling, we know our apps won't solve your problems. No app can. But maybe we can make your day a little bit better. And if you are just looking for new ways to engage your canine counterparts, we hope our work can help you have some more fun, or at least, breathe a little bit easier once in a while.
